
The Sessions
The initial session gives us both a chance to meet one another and to find out how we might work together. It gives you a chance to experience how it would be to work with me; a taste of our working relationship. It gives you the opportunity to decide whether my way of working is what you are looking for. It enables me to begin an assessment of your personal circumstances and issues. At the end of the assessment I can give you an idea of how long I would recommend for us to work together and the main issues that are apparent.
If I feel that you would be better served working with someone else I will tell you. If for any reason we do not continue to work together, I aim to ensure that this one session can feel complete and useful for you in itself.
Standard sessions last 50 minutes and extended sessions last 1 hour and 15 minutes; you can decide which you prefer. In my experience a weekly session is most helpful, although we can make other arrangements if necessary. We can talk about how you would prefer to work- either short term (up to 6 sessions) or in a longer term, open ended manner. If you are looking for a one-off session to help to clarify something in your life, or would like some help with creating your future life I can design a session or series of sessions to work with this.
